"I am proud that all our athletes in the Hong Kong, China Delegation have competed in the true spirit of the Olympic motto, 'faster, higher, stronger—together.' As the Belt and Road Initiative ushers in its next golden decade, I believe this spirit can be applied to our mission here as well," said John Lee Ka-chiu, Chief Executive of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, as he referenced the Olympic spirit in his speech at the 2024 Belt and Road Summit.

He emphasized that through friendship and business collaboration, "our economies will grow faster, our companies will soar higher, and our communities will grow stronger, together."
